GS1 New Zealand drives into several New Zealand business segments, and EDI generally, a set of global EDI messaging standards for a range of business documents to support buyers and sellers with electronic trading. The standards GS1 develop and which are maintained by GS1, with a range of other services, help define how New Zealand businesses can trade with one another.

GS1’s New Zealand EDI standards cover master data alignment, order and delivery and financial settlement management, as well as transport and warehouse management. The main business users in scope for this are retailers, manufacturers, material suppliers and logistic service providers.
